
2ne1 (pronounced as "to anyone" or "twenty-one" is a korean girl group formed by YG Entertainment. The group's name stands for "New Evolution of the 21st Century". They debuted last May 17,2009 with their song "Fire" on SBS Inkigayo but they first appeared with boy band BIGBANG in an advertisement for LG Telecom. The members are CL, the leader, Bom, the main vocals, Minzy, their maknae and main dancer. Sandara was the last member to complete the quartet. Sandara is the only one from the group who has a wikipedia profile/article.
The song used in the cf was "Lollipop" which was released on March 27 2009. It was created to endorse a Cyon phone form LG.
Their debut song "Fire" was released on May 6 with two versions of the music video, the street version and the space version.
Cyworld awarded both Lollipop and Fire as the songs of the month.
2ne1 also became the "Rookie of the month", also an award from Cyworld.
Their second single "I Don't Care" really made them popular. It was released on July 1. An unplugged reggae version was performed by them on SBS Inkigayo music show signalling the end of promotion of the song. However, the remix became popular in Korea that they released it to digital outlets on September 3,2009.
They performed in the 6th Asian Song Festival in September 2009 with different korean groups like SNSD, super Junior and Big Bang.
They received 2009's "Asian Newcomer's Award" too.
The songs Fire, I don't Care, Pretty Boy and In the Club were the singles in their first mini-album calles 2ne1.
After ending the promotions of their album, each member released their solo songs. First was Dara with the song "Kiss" which featured co-member CL and Lee Min Ho ( GuJyunPyo). Park Bom then released hers called "You and I". CL and Minzy released "Please Don't go" after Bom's promotions.
This February 2010, they released their newest song "Try to Copy Me" which was used by Samsung Corby Folder.

yep. I am.LOL. I think they're not dating.most s idols in Korea aren't allowed to date anyone because it may damage their "image" but they do have fanservice so it's possible. ;P
