SS501

Saw a familiar face in the picture?LOL. Yes, it's Ji Hoo of F4 from the famous Koreanovela Boys over Flowers (BoF).

SS501 is Double S Oh Gong II. The boyband is created by Daesung Entertainment. The first S stands for the wors super, the second S is for star, and the numbers 5,0, and 1 means that the five members are united as one.The boyband is composed of Hyun Joong as the leader (Ji Hoo), Young Saeng, Kyu Jong, Jung Min, and Hyung Joon. They debuted in the year 2005.

They debuted with the song Warning together with their second single Snow Prince in late April 2005.

They had their first concert called Step Up Concert in mid-2006.

In late 2006, they released their first album called S.T. 01.

They also lent their voices in the animate movie Pie Story.

In late 2007, they became widely popular in Japan. They released their first japanese single Kokoro which means heart with different versions focusing on each member.

On the year 2008, they came back to Korea with the single Deja Vu. After the success of their single, they promoted their second single A Song Calling For You. They performed it during their goodbye stage performance Last June 6, 2008 because they had to go back to Japan.

On October 2, 2008, their leader Hyun Joong was announced to be one of the casts of the Korean version of Hana Yori Dango which is known here as Boys Over Flowers. They contributed some sountracks to the show like Because I'm Stupid and U R Man.

All My Life, their second album in Japan was released last May 2009. They also had their Solo Collection where in each member has their own solo song.

They had a limited edition mini album called Rebirth. It was released last October 20,2009.

They had their first Asia tour last August 2009.

Their song A Song Calling For You made them popular here in the Philippines. This song lso made me like them. I was actually shocked that Ji Hoo (Hyun Joong) is actually a singer!LOL. I was impressed by his vocals.All the members have angelic voices.It's a pity though that they only became popular in Japan that's why their always there,I am starting to think that they are more popular in Japan than in Korea. I have noticed it also with other groups. Whatever they may take as a move in their career, there is no changing that SS501 is truly a talented group.
